PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Communication & Media Arts Teacher, The Creative Arts Academy of the Quad Cities, 2017-Present
Coordinate project-based learning experiences for students with community organizations such as The Figge Art Museum, The German American Heritage Center and Museum, The Jewish Federation of the Quad Cities, Vera French and The City of Davenport. Guide, design and lead presentations to engage and communicate student learning experiences to parents, leadership and community members.
Led students in digital ad campaign for Quad City Arts' annual fundraiser using graphics and videos designed with Adobe Software and graphics design platform. Conceptualize and design collaborative interactive exhibit with students as lead artist for the Figge Art Museum. Produce animated films to enhance community engagement.
Plan and lead district-wide Collaborative Teacher Team for media arts teachers. Report progress, goals and challenges to district curriculum leadership on a quarterly basis.
Determine priority standards, develop standard-based rubrics, and identify student learning benchmarks as a member of the districtwide Visual Arts and Media Arts Curriculum Team.
Prepare and host Emerging Excellence student event which celebrates and recognizes students' high achievement in art and promotes growth in the National Core Art Standards Artistic Processes.
